We recommend replacing shock mounts in pairs. Unless you are replacing because of wreck damage, if one shock mount is worn the other one is likely close behind.
When changing upper shock mounts, there is a gasket between the mount and the chassis. This gasket is typically stuck to either the chassis or the mount and will get torn during removal. We suggest purchasing an installation kit to aid in the install of your new mounts.
This is the OEM Lemforder brand mount, we consider this the best replacement brand over any other brand.
Please review the options below carefully to ensure you order the correct installation kit based on whether you have an EDC or Non EDC car. Each option is for qty 1 mount. If you are purchasing a pair, please select qty 2 for each option.
Options:
OEM Mount:
- Part #: 33502284703
- Brand: Lemforder
This is the mount only. If you plan on reusing hardware and gaskets you only need to order the mount.
EDC Installation Kit: (for 1 mount)
- Bolts: 07119907502 (x6)
- Gasket: 33506866038 (x2)
- Shock Pin Nut: 34339806226 (x1)
The bolts in this kit are longer to accommodate for the EDC spacer bracket. 2 gaskets are needed, one between the EDC bracket and chassis, one between the EDC bracket and mount. The shock pin nut is a 12 point nut and requires a thin wall socket for assembly.
Non EDC Installation Kit: (for 1 mount)
- Bolts: 07119907137 (x6)
- Gasket: 33506866038 (x1)
- Shock Pin Nut: 34339806226 (x1)
The bolts in this kit are short as there is no need to accommodate for the EDC spacer bracket. Only 1 gasket is needed chassis and mount. The shock pin nut is a 12 point nut and requires a thin wall socket for assembly.
Additional Notes:
There are dust cover/alignment caps used on these mounts. They are sealed from the environment and are not a wear item. We recommend re-using these from your original mount to avoid unnecessary extra costs.
