      Learn about Swift Springs...

      SWIFT ADVANTAGE

When drivers look at a set of springs, they concentrate mainly on the rates, but the material and manufacturing process is equally important.

Surely you have read some spring manufacture's catalogs before, and you have read that they all claim to have the 4 factors listed below.

      1. The most consistent spring rate throughout the stroke
      2. The largest amount of stroke
      3. The highest durability against loss of spring height
      4. The lightest in weight

Swift likes to believe that all suspension spring manufacturers try their best to achieve these 4 factors. Top suspension tuners know that these 4 factors play an intricate role when considering the effectiveness of the suspension coil spring.

Swift’s parent company, Tohatsu, has been winding industrial springs since 1924. Tohatsu then decided to get in to the auto racing market in 1996. Based on long-time experience dealing with coil springs, they came up with one goal: "Make the product that will revolutionize the ones they see on the market now." Keeping this goal in mind, they went back to the basics of coil spring design and asked themselves what is the most important factor that they need to consider on this new project.

Maintaining tire grip is the key to faster times and suspension springs take on an enormous portion of this task!

All Springs are not created equal, the diameters and spring rates can be similar, but the process of manufacturing springs plays a huge factor in how they will perform. Through their extensive knowledge in performance springs, they have perfected the process of manufacturing springs that will outperform our competitors.

With this in mind, they set out to produce a new material for coil springs: a proprietary steel alloy they call "HS5.TW". This material was created in order to maintain the 4 factors listed above, as well as achieving the fastest reaction speed possible to get compliance on road surface conditions. Their springs are created with proprietary winding methods, as well as some other trade secrets focused on ensuring our springs separation from the standard market.

In the time since Swift Springs officially opened its doors in 1997, Swift Springs has dealt with many world class race teams in multitudes of different races including road racing, rally, off road, drift, autocross, pavement and dirt oval track, motorcycles, and more. Swift Springs has lifted many racers to a podium finish, and is still continuing to do so. With so much experience behind them, they feel confident that their springs will give you a leg up in any kind of race you participate in.

Try Swift Springs on your vehicle, and experience what many racers are talking about. We strongly believe that you will feel the difference just like every other racer, and you might even wonder why you didn't try it sooner.

      SWIFT SPORT SPRINGS
LET SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE AND COMFORT LOWER YOUR CAR.

'Shop by Vehicle' to view all Swift Sport springs offered for your vehicle.

Swift made Sport Springs keeps the quality ride you get from the showroom, and adds improved handling and lower ride height for driving enthusiasts and style minded drivers who demand only the best. Swift did not develop the Sport Springs line by simply dropping the ride height. Unlike other manufacturers whose sole focus was style, Swift approached the creation of these lowering springs with 3 goals.

      1. Maintain or improve a smooth, comfortable ride.
      2. Increase handling by reducing body roll and squat in search of overall suspension balance.
      3. Lower the vehicle within tolerance of each vehicle's usable stroke.

EVERY CAR HAS THEIR USABLE STROKE

Most enthusiasts have had experiences with the typical harsh and uncomfortable ride from lowering springs. Performance is often overlooked by manufactures simply because it is easier to lower a vehicle for aesthetics. The end result is usually a bumpy ride that causes a decrease in traction, or excessive worn shocks caused by lowering the vehicle beyond the usable stroke.

PROPRIETARY MATERIAL AND DESIGN TO SATISFY TWO CONTRASTING FACTORS

As you can imagine, keeping or improving the comfort level while increasing performance is not an easy task, especially since these two aspects contrast with each other.

Where most of the competition simply gave in to the easier method, Swift Springs decided to tackle this issue by creating our own material (H5S.TW), and unique manufacturing method that works very well for this material. Working in unison, the material and manufacturing method provides a superior level for both comfort and handling.

THE WAY WE DESIGN THE LOWERING SPRINGS

We utilize spring design with fewer coils which not only allows us to decrease un-sprung mass but to also completely eliminate the chance of coil bind, while increasing the amount of usable stroke. Our proprietary material (H5S.TW) has a much quicker transient response, reacting to any road conditions which, in turn, cause a much smoother ride where other springs will skip on the harsh road surface, our spring will react to the road surface as needed.

With the Swift Sport Springs, we expect both street and circuit users to experience an increase in all aspects of suspension tuning from performance to comfort.

      BUMP RUBBER

Suspension usable stroke for the cars now a day is very limited compared to before. To let the suspension do its own job efficiently, many car manufactures use bump rubber as a part of a suspension's functional part, not only to limit the shock stroke but to prevent the shocks from bottoming out. This scenario also applies to real world racing, and we use this as a primary focus when designing the sport springs.

      VEHICLE CHARACTERISTICS

Swift developed each Sport Springs application based on the individual vehicle's unique characteristic. Put simply, a luxury car will maintain its luxury ride, and sports car will maintain its sports car feel.

      SPEC-R SPRINGS

Swift made Sport Springs keeps the quality ride you get from the showroom, and adds improved handling and lower ride height for driving enthusiasts and style minded drivers who demand only the best.

From HPDE events to SCCA competition, Swift Spec-R Sport Springs are made for the track enthusiast looking to take their vehicle to the next level.

Swift Spec-R Sport Springs were engineered with 3 characteristics in mind.

Modified ride height compared to Sport Springs to maximize optimal suspension geometry.

Further increasing the spring rate to enhance overall performance. The increase in spring rate is based on the upper limits of the vehicles factory shock valving.

Maintaining optimal comfort level for street use.

Spec R springs are wound with the same engineering and material as our sports springs. With the exception of stiffer rates and slight change in ride height; you can expect the same characteristics as our sports springs.

      COILOVER SPRINGS
MORE STROKE, INCREASED TRACTION AND HANDLING, LESS UN-SPRUNG WEIGHT. THE ONLY THING YOU WILL BE LOSING IS LAP TIME.

Swift's innovative designs have made us a staple in the performance tuning world. Our products are the result of over 90 years of experience in industrial spring manufacturing. Their engineers have spent countless hours developing and re-developing our springs, in order to create a product that is light, durable, and compliant, while still maintaining linear spring rates.

Many enthusiasts will swap springs from brand to brand with the only noticeable difference being a stiffer or softer ride. But what if a spring could offer a noticeable increase in traction, smoother weight transfer, better ride quality, lower tire temperatures, and a more predictable feel? The engineers at Swift have taken that "what if" and turned it into reality.

All Swift Springs are manufactured using( H5S.TW.) which is far superior to silicone chrome steel and allows us to wind our springs with less coils, resulting in reduced un-sprung weight and increased stroke.

      HELPER/ASSIST SPRINGS
HELPER SPRINGS PREVENT DISMOUNTING OF SPRINGS FROM PERCH ON COILOVER WITHOUT CHANGING SPRING RATE.

Swift helper springs are specifically designed to have a minimal effect on the spring rate of the main coilover spring. Helper springs allow the spring to stay on mounted on the coilover perch when the shock is under negative or zero load, also known as droop travel. It is ideal to run helper springs on setups where you cannot preload the main spring due to height issues or when experiencing springs coming loose from the coilover perch.

SWIFT ASSIST SPRINGS PROVIDE A DYNAMIC STEP LINEAR RATE, GET THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS.

Assist springs are designed to be fully compressed at static height. Every one of our assist springs compress to the exact same height. This allows drivers to change assist springs without resetting the perch on the coilovers so the ride height isn't affected. Heavier rates of assist springs over helper springs are used to fine tune the rebound travel of the shock. These springs can also help preventing loss of traction due to inside wheel lift during hard cornering.

      SPRING ACCESSORIES

      STACKED SPRING ADAPTER KIT
The stack spring adapter is made out of a similar self lubricating plastic as our thrust sheets. It has many advantages over its steel or aluminum counterpart:

      - Extremely light weight
      - Will let the spring unwind when needed upon compression
      - Will not damage the threads on shockbody when contact occurs

Adapter kit comes with an adapter and 2 metal washer sheets (1 kit for 1 springs)

      THRUST SHEETS
Improve your coilovers performance and reduce unwanted spring noise with Swift Thrust Sheets. These proprietary self lubricating sheets will allow your coilover springs to smoothly rotate around the perch under compression. This enables the load on the spring to be more evenly distributed easing the pre-load and reducing the noise created under spring compression. Swifts Thrust Sheets will work for most coilover systems and are offered in 60mm, 65mm and 70mm applications. Each kit comes with 4 self lubricating thrust sheets and 4 stainless steel shims.

All Kits come with 4 thrust sheets & 4 metal washer sheets (1 kit for 2 springs).
