The Öhlins Road & Track suspension kit for the BMW M3/M4 (F8X) is designed to use the OEM mounts. Unless your vehicle has less than 30k miles, you will likely want to install your new suspension kit with fresh new mounts. 3DM has put together a kit with all the necessary parts to be able to put your kit together ahead of time on a bench top making installation to your vehicle easier.

Additional Notes
M3/M4 (F8X) cars came in two variations, 3 bolt and 5 bolt mounting for the front top mount. Please count the bolts holding your top mount to the shock tower to determine which version you have. Only count the bolts that attach the strut mount to the tower, not the "ribs" or the bolt(s) for the engine bay brace. The 3-bolt is generally through the 2014 model year and 5-bolt begins in the 2015 model year. Some early 2015 models were 3-bolt.
EDC and NON EDC F8Xs use the same shock mount, however, the EDC cars come with a 10mm spacer above the mount to allow clearance for the EDC wiring. The additional spacer requires longer bolts to mount the entire assembly to the vehicle. When installing the Ohlins Road & Track kit the EDC wiring spacer is no longer needed and therefore should be removed. When removing the spacer, shorter mounting bolts should be used as well. Lastly, we do not recommend using a gasket as they can "crush" over time and the torque on the bolts can be lost.
