      Öhlins DFV — Dual Flow Valve

      DFV is the technology behind the entire Öhlins Road & Track range. Its patented valve lets the intermediate shaft-speed range be tuned independently of low and high speed damping — which is where ride quality and body control actually live.

      That independence is the point: on a conventional single-tube damper you can't change mid-speed damping without affecting the rest, so comfort and handling trade against each other. DFV largely removes that compromise, which is why it suits a car that has to drive to the track and back.

      Öhlins TTX — Twin Tube

      TTX splits compression and rebound into two completely independent circuits. Compression damping happens in the outer tube, rebound through the inner, with the gas chamber built into the body — no external canister needed.

      The engineering advantage is cavitation. Because oil pressure is held above gas pressure at all times, gas bubbles never form in the oil, so damping stays consistent lap after lap rather than fading as the damper works. That consistency is why TTX is the choice for serious track and race use, and why the adjusters have a far more direct effect.
